The distance from Pisa (Pisa) to Florence (Firenze) is 86 kilometers. You can get from Pisa to Florence in just 1 hour and 8.6 euros by regional train, the alternative is a bus or a car rental on your own.

If you arrive at Pisa airport (PSA, Aeroporto Internazionale di Pisa) then you can get to the Pisa Centrale central station by special train for 2.7 euros - See detailed instructions. Also, Pisa Airport to Florence can be reached by direct bus, taxi or train connections. Travel time is about one and a half hours.

By train

Trains from Pisa Airport to Florence are only possible with transfers. First, take the Pisa-mover shuttle to the central station, and then take the regional train for 8.60 euros to Florence. The road will cost you 2.70 + 8.60 = 11.30 euros. Travel time is about 1.5 hours, trains leave every 20-30 minutes.

It is not necessary to book online tickets for the train in advance; buy them without any problems in the machine at the station after the fact.

It’s optimal to walk around Pisa for a couple of hours and immediately go on a trip to Italy, since besides Piazza dei Miracoli, there are no attractions. Baggage can be left in the luggage room (Deposito bagagli) at the station at a price of 5 euros per suitcase

By bus

At the airport, a bus stop is located literally 100 meters from the exit of the Terminal, it is quite easy to find it - follow the signs for "BUS STATION".

Tickets for 14 euros can be bought in advance on the official website at least half a year in advance.

The predicted travel time is 1 hour 10 minutes. Buses depart several times a day, lay from the time of arrival plus 2 hours before departure.

Return direct buses from Florence to Pisa airport depart from the same bus station to Piazzale Montelungo with an interval of 1 hour 15 minutes. If you buy tickets online right there and back, you can save 4 euros.

You can also see the carrier www.caronnatour.com, but I couldn’t buy tickets online from there. Most likely it is better to take them on the spot. Unfortunately, many companies got stuck in Italy in the last century.

According to the official tariff, the cost of a taxi ride from Pisa airport to Florence is fixed at 170 euros, but not every driver can agree to such a trip. In order not to worry and be sure that you will be met and taken to your destination at a predetermined price, I advise you to book a transfer in advance at kiwitaxi.ru

The transfer fee starts from 160 euros, which is even cheaper than taxi drivers. By car business class Mercedes, Audi or BMW can be reached for 198 euros. The driver will meet you with a sign right at the exit from the baggage claim area.

By car

Traveling to Florence from Pisa makes sense if you plan to visit other cities of Tuscany along the way. Be sure to read about parking in Florence, as in any major city in Italy there is a restriction on tourists entering the historical center by car.

The road itself will take you about 2 hours. There is a toll section of the A11 highway along the way, prepare 7.50 euros. You can choose a profitable car rental option in Italy at auto.italy4.me

I would recommend including Montecatini Terme on the route, staying there for 2-3 days with periodic trips to neighboring small towns, and then leaving for the capital of Tuscany.
